How to Photograph Your Children (ES)
Have a DSLR camera sitting around that you never use or never take off auto mode? This workshop will teach you the basics of good photography and how to shoot in manual mode. Take better photos of your family and discover the beauty and ease that comes from knowing how to use your camera to produce special keepsakes. Students will leave this workshop with an understanding of how to shoot in manual mode, the basics of composition, light and creativity in taking good photos. Smartphone users can participate in the principles of good photography. There will be weekly exercises that will push you to look at your surroundings differently and start taking photographs you'll want to frame.
Time: Fridays, 4 May - 1 June 2018, 11:00am-12:30pm

Meet the teacher:
Katherine Millard is a lifestyle photographer from Sydney and a local mum to 2 young children. Her clients are drawn to her relaxed style and are comfortable just being themselves. Katherine's favourite sessions are in-home with families who want to capture life as it is right now, before the next phase begins. She loves to photograph the ordinary and create keepsakes.
Katherine loves travel and her personal work is street photography. Her work is regularly featured online and was selected for exhibition in the 2016 and 2017 Head On Photo Festival, and has also been exhibited at galleries in Sydney.
What to bring:
