Spark Kids hosts a variety of functional art workshops during the school holidays, designed for both primary and high school students.
The classes below are held at creative studio in Drummoyne, in Sydney’s Inner West. All classes are 2 hour where your child gets to immerse themselves with the activity.

School Holidays Jesmonite (eco resin) New Moulds avaiable!
Looking for a unique school holiday activity where your child can make useable and functional art? Join us for a fun Jesmonite workshop where you can make 3 of their own useable items. There are vases, trinkets, figurines, and hairbrushes, jewellery boxes and more!
This workshop will guide kids through all the steps to make their creations with Jesmonite.
Jesmonite is a gypsum and acrylic-based material that is solvent-free, non-toxic, has no VOCs, and is often called an eco-resin. So imagine liquid clay that sets in 40 minutes, you can colour it and it doesn't require a kiln.
- What kids will learn: How to mix and add colours to the Jesmonite to create their own choice of colour palette.
- Create their own coloured chips (of two colours) that will go into their terrazzo mix.
- Cast the materials into a silicon mould for their chosen shape.
- Sand and package
Once their piece is cured we will show them how to sand and seal the tray.
Our workshop is as much about creativity as it is about connection, so in our workshops, your child will have the opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy learning new skills away from their screens.
Our kids' workshop is a perfect school holiday activity that will keep your child entertained and provide new skills that can be applied to future projects to occupy their time and stretch their minds beyond the workshop.
Class sizes are always kept small so that you enjoy hands-on assistance while you learn and create.
We have dried everlasting flowers you can add to your vase at the end as well.

Kids keyring and jewellery making workshop
Join our kids keyrings and jewellery making workshop to learn how to make uable key chains friendship bracelet and more.
In this workshop we will be using a variety of colourful acrylic beads. Our experienced teacher will guide you through experimenting with colour combinations and simple design principles.
Your child will have fun getting creative as well as build their skills such as: counting; measurement; estimation; visual memory and repetition; and hand-eye co-ordination while creating unique pieces that they can wear or gift to their friends.
At the end of this workshop, kids will take home their own unique jewellery pieces and the skills to continue making more.
Water and healthy snack provided. This class is suitable for children 5-12 and class runs for 2 hours. It is located at our studio in Drummoyne.

Kid's snow globe & bauble making
Kids Snowglobe & Bauble Making Workshop
A magical hands-on school holiday workshop for ages 5–12 (Drop-off class)
Let your child step into a world of creativity, sparkles, and festive fun! In this playful 2-hour workshop, kids will design their very own winter-wonderland snowglobe and craft two personalised Christmas baubles to take home — perfect for decorating the tree or gifting to someone special.
Guided by our friendly Seed & Spark instructors, children will:
✨ Build and decorate their own snowglobe scene
✨ Choose figurines, glitter mixes, and snowy elements
✨ Learn fun, age-appropriate crafting techniques
✨ Personalise their Christmas baubles using paints, stickers, sparkles, and ribbon

This workshop is packed with creativity, sensory play, and festive joy — all materials provided. Kids will leave with three beautiful handmade pieces and lots of holiday excitement!

Christmas Wreath Making for Kids
Looking for festive things to do for the kids in Sydney? Join us for this kid's Christmas Wreath making class to make a 20cm mini-size wreath to hang on the door, walls or on the Christmas tree!
We had lots of demands on kids wanting to make a wreath so we didn't want to limit the fun of creating beautiful Christmas wreaths only to adults.
During the hands-on class, your child will learn how to make fun and vibrant Christmas wreaths with the choice of using a mix of fresh greens and flowers.
Come join us to unleash your creativity and learn the secrets of good floral Christmas wreaths. Kids over six are more than welcome to join you.
