Learn to Sew (NS)
Want to learn (or remember how) to sew? This course will guide you through the basics of sewing and build on your skills each week with a range of simple projects including kids' bloomers/shorts and a girl's dress. You will get to know your machine and gain a new set of skills including basic construction, reading a pattern, finishing seams, fitting garments, sewing buttonholes and inserting a zipper. A small number of machines are available for hire for a small extra fee.
Duration: 4 x 1.5 hour sessions, once weekly for 4 consecutive weeks
Location: Northside Baptist Church, 63 Willoughby Rd Crows Nest (2 hour free parking at rear in the Holtermann St Carpark)
