Beginner crochet workshop Friday, 3 June 2022 at 6pm
Want to learn how to crochet? Learn how to read a crochet pattern and a variety of beginner crochet stitches to equip yourself with skills to explore projects beyond the class!
Join us for a hands-on, 2 hour in-person class at Seed and Spark!
This class will cover how to read a crochet pattern, chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, crocheting in the round, changing yarn colour, increasing stitches, casting off and weaving in the ends to finish off a project.
Your instructor is high school Design and Technology teacher Bernadette, who will teach you how to crochet and start you off on your very first crochet project – a little basket for knick knacks around the house, something to hold your keys or even use it as a plant holder.
You will be shown some additional tips and tricks for adding a bit of flair to your designs that you can experiment with after the lesson.
The Beginner Crochet Kit includes enough material to get you started on your very own project.
· 1 roll of jersey yarn
· Stitch markers
· 12mm crochet hook
· Yarn needle
*colours will be allocated randomly and tools shown in photo may differ slightly to those received
This class is suited to those aged 16 and above, no experience necessary, all levels welcome.
